Dear STMP Friends!

On the STMP Coalition call next Thursday, August 3rd, we’re taking a deep dive into an exciting new campaign targeting one of Citi’s largest credit card clients, Costco. This is one call you don’t want to miss!

6 organizations in our coalition, including
New York Communities for Change, Climate Organizing Hubs, Third Act, Stand.earth and the Sunrise Project, are teaming up to run a major push on Costco. What we want is simple. Costco needs to issue an ultimatum to Citi: ramp down your financing for fossil fuels or lose Costco as a client.

On the call, we’ll also provide a high-level overview of the Citi campaign and share why Citi has become the #1 target for multiple STMP partners.
The Citi campaign has been running for a while, but this is the first time that we are targeting a large institutional client of Citibank. Costco is the third largest retailer in the U.S. and Citibank is the third largest credit card issuer in the U.S. and we know that its credit card business makes up a huge amount of their profits. So we are aiming to hit them where it hurts.Join us to learn more about the campaign and how to get involved! In Solidarity, ❤✊
