The week before the three major loans to Enbridge expire, July 12th-18th, activists around the country will organize art actions & protests at the branches, offices and headquarters of the banks funding Line 3.

Alongside our friends at the NDN Collective, we plan to deploy thousands of #DefundLine3 posters across the US. These actions are a crucial part of getting images of resistance up around the country.

This project is part of the Defund Line 3 campaign, using the power of art to back up those who are putting their bodies on the front line in Northern Minnesota to stop Line 3 and protect our water, climate, treaties, and communities.

We are counting on you and your crew to get these images out into your community. Can you organize an action in your area?

Here are some resources to help you organize an action in your community.

• Sign up to receive #DefundLine3 art and use them to plan powerful arts-based actions in your community. Once you sign up, we will send you a newspaper full of posters designed by 10 different artists from across the climate movement.
  
• Check out our Week of Arts Action Toolkit. Check this toolkit for everything you need to know to join this powerful action. It has materials, media tips, recruitment information, and so much more.
  
• Join us on July 8th at 5pm PST/8pm EST for a Virtual Arts Training: Street Murals, Banners, Music and Theater. Hear from artists David Solnit and Cy Wagoner on how to use the newspaper posters and organize other art based tactics such as street murals, banner drops, street theater and more.

Just ten days ago, thousands took action at Treaty People Gathering. Water Protectors are still taking daily direct action to stop the construction of the toxic Line 3 tar sands pipeline. In all, nearly 500 people have now been arrested for taking bold direct action to stop the construction of Line 3.
