Last month, members of our Pledge team joined forest defenders in Oregon for the Deep Roots Training Camp—intended to introduce folks to forest defense, one of the most important resistance fights in the Pacific Northwest, given the importance of our magnificent forests to the global climate. We hope that these regional ties will help power a broad, connected, and powerful movement.

Tomorrow, October 27, from 6-8pm, the organizers of Deep Roots are presenting a webinar about affinity group organizing with special guest speaker Erica Kay, one of the 1999 WTO protest organizers. She will share about the organizing experience and how the use of affinity groups and spokes councils made the action effective and changed history. We’ll discuss how affinity groups and spokes council organizing models can benefit our organizing efforts, and we’ll break up into affinity groups.

Please register in advance.

Not already in an affinity group? No worries — you can join one on the webinar! We’ll also be sharing updates about future trainings, events, and actions.

We hope you can join us tomorrow night!
