Good afternoon, CATs. Here’s our weekly volunteer update.

We are just over a month away from the start of the Washington State legislative session!

Now it’s time to get all of our volunteers plugged into Teams & Roles and cross trained up for the important work we’ll carry together during session.

Together, we are going to make it possible for thousands of people across Washington to take tens of thousands of advocacy actions on sound and just climate policy.

Please be sure to check out these awesome resources.

CAT Hot Takes

  • Monday’s Bill Tracking call focused on the various documents we will be using to track bills and share information with other teams. Check out the recording and slides.

    • Tuesday we had our last All-Hands call of the year! Check out the recording and slides.

  • Campaign Kick Off event on January 4th – Zoom here

    • Recruitment for action takers to sign up with us before that!

  • As a heads up to everyone, we are looking at using the first week of January as a practice run for all our teams!  Our goal is to make sure everyone feels comfortable with how we are all working together and that information is flowing between teams.

  • Also as a heads up, we are looking towards an educational event that we’ll work on in collaboration with some of our advocacy partners early in the session. It will focus on how to lobby as well as give each organization an opportunity to share their priorities and opportunities to get involved.

    • If you haven’t had the chance yet, make sure to check out the Equity & Inclusion Document for CAT this year! We are focusing on four key questions to help us center equity both internally through our processes and externally in our communications.
