Hello Jeanne,

There are some exciting bills this week! We can both encourage cool changes and hold the line on out-of-control police behavior.

When we sign in Pro or Con (up to an hour before a committee hearing), the staff has time to tally the sign-ins so the committee members have a sense of the amount of support and opposition before they even hear public testimony. We think this can be persuasive. In contrast, written testimony is accepted up to 24 hours after the hearing, and if you feel passionate or particularly well informed about an issue, it can be more satisfying to write comments, which we hope the committee will read and consider.

All of today’s actions are simple sign-ins and the last one has an option for a written comment. For that final action, we have included links to more detailed background information because alternative jet fuel is problematic and something most of us don’t know much about.
