Jeanne –
Last week was a huge moment for our #FossilFreeFed campaign. Our team – together with our partners at 350.org, 350 Wisconsin, Sunrise Jackson, and many more – showed up in force at the Fed’s most important gathering of the year and made clear that the climate crisis must be accounted for in America’s financial decision making.
We made huge waves not just on-the-ground, but also in the media with major stories in NPR, Reuters, Yahoo Finance, and more. It’s estimated that our media had a reach of over 400 million people!
To sum it all up, we put together a wrap up video highlighting the actions we took and what we’re calling for. It’s a great way to get caught up on the campaign – plus it’s less than 2 minutes long!
Here are the facts, Jeanne: Every minute, the fossil fuel industry gets $11 million in subsidies while our costs rise and climate disasters worsen.1
But there’s a way to stop this vicious cycle: American banks are the world’s top fossil fuel funders and the Federal Reserve is their referee.
We must convince the Federal Reserve to stop the flow of money to fossil fuels if we want a livable future.
It’s not a radical idea. The International Energy Agency has said: “There must be no investment in new fossil fuel supply projects, starting today.”
Together, we can call on the Federal Reserve to end fossil fuel financing and account for climate risk in all financial policy decisions.

Thank you for watching our video and stay tuned for next steps on the Fed campaign coming soon.
