The climate crisis is not paused while we battle COVID-19.
The lands and water of Indigenous peoples are being threatened across the globe. Frontline activists are engaged in an urgent battle to save their communities from resource extraction and exploitation.
We must support and learn from those at the frontlines of ecological destruction. Extinction Rebellion Global Support is proud to bring you an online screening of the award-winning documentary The Condor and The Eagle. The film follows four Indigenous leaders embarking on a transcontinental adventure to document the Indigenous struggle to protect their land and water. Travel with them from the Canadian boreal forests to the heart of the Amazon jungle and learn more about the struggle for climate justice.
Join us this Friday, June 26, for an online film screening and lively Q&A discussion featuring activists from the film and XR rebels.
Date: Friday, June 26
Time (Europe): 7pm BST / 8pm CEST
Time (North America): 4pm PT / 5pm MT / 6pm CT / 7pm ET / 8pm AT
All funds from donations will go toward XR Global Support, local XR groups around the world, and the Indigenous activists and crew of the film through their impact campaign “No More Sacrificed Communities”.
The Condor and The Eagle has been cited by EcoWatch as one of the best new documentaries about the climate crisis: “These [frontline] leaders offer hope to communities well outside their own domain.”
