Hi all,

It’s Grace Hope, your 350.org Pacific Northwest Regional Organizer! Thank you to everyone who joined Monday’s 350 PNW Conversation call this week.
We took a deep and thoughtful dive together exploring our role as climate organizers in the broader movement for Black lives and racial justice. And we encouraged and supported each other to keep taking meaningful steps towards deepening our own anti-racism work in our lives and in our local groups. That’s powerful stuff!  
I am consistently blown away by the incredible insights, encouragement, and spirit of collaboration that each of you are bringing to this new virtual community space.

“You can’t have climate change without sacrifice zones, and you can’t have sacrifice zones without disposable people, and you can’t have disposable people without racism.”

Also, did you know that next week all 12 of the 350-affiliated groups in Washington State are gathering at our first-ever virtual retreat to build the official 350 Washington Network? It’s kind of a big deal! It’s never been done before. We are building a powerfully networked community of climate organizers and we want to celebrate together with all of you!

Happy Hour and Retreat Kickoff

WHEN: Monday, June 29th @ 6pm-7:30pm

WHAT: Join us as we gather together to celebrate the amazing climate organizing community we’ve grown together across Washington State, and kick off our big 350 WA Network Retreat with a party. We have already accomplished so much as an informal network! Bring your favorite beverage and an imaginary snack. Let’s share our hopes, dreams, and ideas, and enjoy each other’s company as all of our groups head into this special endeavor together.
