Hi Jeanne!
From the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, to Friday, April 24, youth will be leading thousands of nationwide events, including rallies, marches, teach-ins, protests, and strikes.
These climate actions will be about uniting across nations and movements, coming together with the shared belief that our generation deserves a future. Across the 72 hours will be a chance to reflect, celebrate, learn, and educate.
Disaster isn’t coming — it’s here. Australia is burning, Indonesia is flooding, and last year was a record high for ocean temperatures. We must act accordingly. We will not continue as if this is normal, and that’s exactly why we’re preparing to mobilize millions to action in April, and then to vote in November.
2020 is about decisions. There’s nothing like the power of the people, and we’re counting on you to choose the future and #StrikeWithUs.
The Climate Strike Coalition just relaunched its website for this new wave of strikes – much more will be announced in the coming days and weeks; stay tuned.
In solidarity,
Katie, Executive Director, Future Coalition + member of the Youth Climate Strike Coalition
