Email from Cherri Foytlin of 350.org fighting Bayou Bridge:

Thank you for stepping up and helping shine a light on what’s happening in South Louisiana. We’re very grateful.

Here’s what to do next to support the Bayou Bridge fight:

  1. RSVP to Rise on Sept 8: Find and join an action near you on September 8th for a global day of action calling for no new fossil fuel projects and a just transition to 100% renewable energy.
  2. Call Governor John Bel Edwards at (225) 342-7015 or (866) 366-1121 to demand that St. James be given an evacuation route.
  3. Shine a spotlight: Follow L’eau Est La Vie Camp on Facebook and share our live videos to show what’s happening.
  4. Target the banks: Bank of America, Citi Bank, JP Morgan Chase, and Wells Fargo are all funding 8 of the largest pipeline projects in North America including Bayou Bridge. Get a group of friends together to take action at a bank branch, or share a photo of yourself in front of a branch with a #NoBBP sign. Click here for support.
  5. Support the bail fund: Activists who are taking direct action need legal support and money for bail. Support their brave actions by donating to the legal and bail fund here.

Thank you for all you do,

Cherri
