July 12th Notes:
  • 350 Seattle is hosting an epic direct action skill up program this summer and other 350 groups are invited to join. The kickoff event is in real life on Monday August 2nd from 6-7:30pm.Agents of Change” will be a combo of in-real-life gatherings and virtual webinars so we can all skill up together and form affinity groups for direct action. And there’s going to be food!
  • Grace highly recommends the Climate Advocacy Lab for their incredible organizing resources and data. It’s free and amazing: https://www.climateadvocacylab.org/become-a-member
  • 350 WA groups are holding a vote to endorse 350 Eastside’s Public Utility District campaign. Cast your group’s vote before July 30th! Non-WA groups can also endorse.
  • Ingrid Elliot and Andrew Kidde at 350 Seattle are working with 350 WA groups to advocate for green transportation projects across the state. They are seeking feedback about your local projects, and also 350 WA group endorsements on their joint Transportation Bill of Rights letter with Front & Centered and Disability Rights Washington. Reach out to Ingrid to engage on transportation in Washington!  (elliottshapiro@mac.com)!
These regional calls are open to all active volunteers at 350 groups in the PNW, and are sponsored by 350 Seattle and the 350 WA Network. Thank you all for being a part of our growing community of organizers.
