Today, on the occasion of the Laudato Si Week for the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Encyclical Laudato Si’, 42 faith institutions announce their commitment to divest from fossil fuels.
This is the largest-ever joint announcement of divestment from fossil fuels from faith institutions which, from the United Kingdom to Bangladesh, are sending a strong signal to national governments to lead a just economic recovery. Build back better by creating economies and supporting businesses that are resilient, clean, and just.
