1. PUBLIC: Mobilize your base to call Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. There is sample email language, and here’s a sample script:

PUBLIC CALL SCRIPT TO AG ELLISON: 651-296-3353

Hi, I’m [NAME], I’m calling from [PLACE], and I’m calling because I am extremely concerned about the possibility of construction on the Line 3 pipeline. The pipeline is still facing enormous legal challenges, including the one in which your office represents the Minnesota Department of Commerce. I’m calling to urge you to work with the DOC to advocate for a stay against construction. Your environmental justice track record is strong, and I’m counting on you to stand with the people and stand up to Enbridge. Please do everything you can to stop construction on Line 3. Thank you.

2. PUBLIC: Keep sharing on social media: this fb post from Stop Line 3, this write up from MN350, or this Tweet from Resist Line 3 (thanks Ruth for getting some links out yesterday!) Use the hashtag #StopLine3, and feel free to include the ask about calling AG Ellison!

3. INTERNAL: Have your Executive Director call Governor Walz asking him to support a stay against construction. The organizing focus is shifting to AG Ellison, but getting institutional power to keep pressuring our Governor is important – see the toolkit for phone number & script.

4. INTERNAL: Put stopping Line 3 on your organization’s list of top priorities for federal advocacy. To get more involved in that part of this fight, reach out to Mahyar Sorour (mahyar.sorour@sierraclub.org)

5. DONATE to the frontlines (Giniw Collective) and to the legal battles (Friends of the Headwaters). This fight is far from over, and we’re not going to win without a well-resourced frontline and a robust legal fight.
